On the nose is the distinct aroma of orange oil and candle wax. Toffee, butterscotch, gingerbread and grapefruit peel add some complexity to the palate, along with cola spices and honeysuckle. Finishes with a bit of heat, and is best with a drop or two of water.

It's made entirely from malt whisky matured in Sherry casks, imparting a rich sweetness. The name is less animal related than their previous expressions - it celebrates Scottish craftsmanship, referring to a 17th Century precursor to the golf ball, called a Feathery. It was made with hide and stuffed with "a top hat full" of chicken feathers!
