OVERVIEW:

It's been over two years since Bourbon Pursuit debuted "Vanilla Shrooms" and "Kenny's Back Door".  We immensely enjoyed those selections and couldn't wait to have another shot at Driftless Glen, especially now that they've got a few more years under their belt and the whiskeys on offer are older.  On July 19th, 2022 Kenny, Ryan, & Patreon members Emmett and Tait got together over YouTube to select this year's barrels.  We think you'll love "DRIFT", and "RYE TIME".

Barrel# 3617, Aged 5 years, 27 days, 59% ABV, 118 Proof

TASTING NOTES:

• Nose:  The aroma leads with honied rye bread, vanilla bean, a touch of damp grass, malt heftiness, clove, cinnamon, and a whiff of smoke.
• Palate:  The palate punches with a juicy beginning - peach rings, raisin, and cherry cola with a chewy, chocolate malt linger. Balanced and elegant spice - this one isn’t too sweet-toned, threading a good balance for someone who wants a sweet yet spiced pour, but with a dense, chewy, malt-heavy profile.
• Finish:  The lingering finish is smoked cherrywood, burnt coconut sugar, and fresh cinnamon sticks.
