In the hamlet of Miahuatlan, Oaxaca, maestro mezcalero Victor Ramos created Gusto Historico Tepextate/ Arroqueno/ Madrecuixe/ Cuixe. 25 percent Agave marmorata, 25 percent Agave americana var. oaxacensis, 25 percent Agave karwinskii, and 25 percent Agave kawinskii sp. were used to make this spirit. In a copper refrescadera still, the agave was single distilled.
