OVERVIEW:

On October 4th, 2021 we set out with fellow Patreon members Todd Couper, John Wadsworth, Clark & Betsy Glazner, and Jim & Gina Reed for our Bulleit selection. We were guided through our barrel pick by our host, Melissa. Although we were initially "a house divided" because there were such great barrels to choose from, we narrowed down our selection and took a blind vote to crown our winner.  Please enjoy "Mr. High Rye".

BBL#2-E1-1089, LOT# L1201ZE010, 9-year, 104 proof, 21% rye Mashbill, yeast strain #1 - (leather, banana, fruit)

TASTING NOTES:

• Nose: Fruit-forward dessert notes like bananas foster and apple pie, with brown sugar, cinnamon stick, stone fruit, and a hint of citrus
• Palate: Mellow spice, orange zest, and brown sugar, reminiscent of a barrel finished cocktail, with a semi-creamy mouthfeel
• Finish: A Medium to medium-long finish with warmth from the mellow spice
