Avelino Vegas - Red Blend - Segovia
Description
Overview: The company was founded in 1950 by Avelino Vegas in Santiuste de San Juan Bautista, province of Segovia. He started producing wines with grapes from vineyards in the area, especially Verdejo. The creation of the Rueda Appellation in 1982 was the final push for the recognition of the quality white wines of the firm. The family Vegas signed an exclusive project with the Spanish photographer Miguel Vallinas in which he played the protagonists of the animal world with the new wine blends of the winery. Cabernet Sauvignon 60% - Petit Verdot 40%
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red color, with cardinal trim, clean and bright. The nose expresses the elegance and complexity of these two varieties. Intense with hints of black fruit, cherries and ripe plums on a well-assembled and spicy background. The palate is powerful, broad with a perfect balance between acidity and alcohol and a subtle tannin that makes it very elegant, with a spicy and persistent finish.
Pairings: Pasta, soups, salads, fish and white meats dishes.
