• Nose: Green apple, salted butter, good quality coffee and a familiar tickle of rye spiciness...
• Palate: Swedish pepparkakor with plenty of cinnamon and ginger in the dough. Hints of soft tobacco and caramel develop.
• Finish: Chilli chocolate, apple crumble and a pinch of leafy peppermint.

Smooth Ambler have proved time and again that they've got a fantastic nose for sniffing out smashing whiskey with their Old Scout range, and they've only gone and done it once more! Their Old Scout American Whiskey is a blend of two whiskeys made with bourbon mashbills - one is aged in new oak barrels, while the other is aged in rejuvenated, re-charred bourbon casks (which is why this can't be labelled as a bourbon).
