Roasted cereal grains and dark caramel along with leather and a hint of cherry are found on the nose. The masculine notes continue on the palate with the soft whiskey becoming spicy and peppery on the finish with a touch of cherry cola. Rye whiskey drinkers should seek out.
This sourced whiskey is produced using a high-rye mash bill (65% corn, 25% rye, 10% malted barley) and brought down to proof with water from the Bull Run Watershed. Aged for at least 6 years, this is produced in small batches consisting of 5-6 barrels so proof will vary slightly.
