Wade - Three By Wade - Chenin Blanc

About This Item

Overview: Former NBA all-star, MVP, World Champion Dwyane Wade is nothing if not driven. Through his successes in his athletic career, and with the help of fellow teammates and foodies Chris Bosh and Lebron James, he discovered a passion and love for fine wines. Thanks to the friendships he cultivated over the years, he turned to a specifically dear one with esteemed Napa winemaker Jayson Pahlmeyer. Pahlmeyer, with thirty years of winemaking under his belt, offered endless guidance to Wade and even went as far as to have him witness the 2014 Napa Valley harvest. Through the knowledge, Wade accessed through this harvest, the assistance of Pahlmeyer, and Wade's impressive drive, Wade Cellars was born.

Three by Wade Blanc comes from organically farmed vines in Clarksburg, California – a winemaking region situated one hour east of the Napa Valley. Cool nightly breezes moderate the mild summer temperatures providing optimal growing conditions. Fermented entirely in stainless steel, this dry white wine went through full malolactic fermentation to increase the wines’ body and mouthfeel. Why Chenin Blanc? Because we love its bright acidity and the wines natural weighty texture.

Tasting Notes: Our Chenin Blanc has a beautiful pale golden hue. On the nose there are fresh citrus and slightly tropical notes like lemon and even pineapple. On the palate there is crisp green apple that’s complemented by mouthwatering acid up front with a rich body on the mid palate that rounds everything out.

Pairing: This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs best with any red meat, including prime rib, New York strip and filet mignon. The wine is best enjoyed with food and can also be used for sauces or reductions.
