OVERVIEW:

An unsuspecting Chad and Sara wandered into the Wilderness Trail Barrel Pick room following a day of shooting at the distillery. To their surprise, they found Macaulay and Haley of Wilderness Trail waiting with some barrel-proof potions ready for pouring. After many calculations and very scientific trials...they created a wheated bourbon blend like no other. The top-secret recipe, initially known as project "Boss Sauce", was one of only two wheated blend barrel picks done in 2022. It resulted in a rich, creamy, lightly sweet bourbon with a touch of oak and a surprising punch of proof. Meet Wheat Science: It's our creation and we hope you little maniacs enjoy it!

TASTING NOTES:

• Nose: Milk chocolate, hazelnuts, honey, and a hint of toasted oak
• Palate: The notes of milk chocolate and hazelnuts from the nose carry through to the palate, along with notes of caramel apple and allspice, and a rich, creamy mouthfeel
• Finish: Medium-long finish where the warmth and allspice note builds and settles into a nice Kentucky Hug
