Ziata - Napa Valley - Sauvignon Blanc
Description
Overview: After 20 years of marketing Napa Valley and its wines, Karen Cakebread launched ZIATA Wines in 2008. “I had two goals: to create beautifully structured wines that reflect the vineyards they come from; and to be involved in every aspect making wine.” She named the brand in honor of her mother, Mary Annunziata.
Tasting Notes: Notes of sweet orange, apricot and passionfruit. True to the vintage, this wine is subtle and nuanced in its expression. Delicate cherry blossoms and rose petal accentuate a bright palate. A natural juiciness gives body and roundness with a touch of grapefruit peel on the finish adds length and complexity.
Pairing: Cedar Plank Salmon, Shrimp and Zucchini Noodle Pasta with Cilantro Pesto
Points: 90 pts, Wine and Spirits
Format / ABV: 750 ml / 14.1
