Llopart - Brut Reserva Rose - Corpinnat
Description
Overview: Made up predominately of Monastrell, with equal parts Garnatxa and Pinot Noir, the grapes hail from the Clos del Lluis and Clot de Balenyà vineyards within Corpinnat of Subirats. The vines were planted between 1990 and 1999, grow upon beds of mountainside calcareous clay soils, and are farmed organically. The wine undergoes traditional, artisanal methode champenoise with secondary fermentation in the bottle. The wine ages for 18 months in bottle before release.
Tasting Notes: This light apricot colored wine has a nose of Valencia orange, toasted almonds and button mushrooms. It spreads across the palate with flavors of lemon preserves, marzipan and rose petal. There is a lemon zest note on the bright finish.
