This intriguing mix of Dominican Republic column still rum and Jamaican high ester pot still rum produces a wonderful fragrant expression with a balance of elegance and character. The pot still has a big hand in this expression, imbuing the nose with hogo, overripe fruit, and damp soil notes. The palate follows suit, starting with fruit (plenty of banana), then transitioning to pepper, spice, and a smidgeon of sandalwood. Along with its distinct hogo pungency, those overripe banana aromas stay the longest and have the greatest influence on the finish.
