San Pedro - Tayu 1865 - Pinot Noir
Description
Overview: Tayu 1865 is brought to us from the southern Chilean region of Malleco, elaborated by indigenous families in the community of Buchahueico. The Mapuches, which means “people of the land”, have a connection to the earth that goes beyond what can be understood enologically. Tayu, which means “ours” in Mapundungun, is the proud result of this special winemaking endeavor, presenting a new understanding of the variety, based on an approach to nature, which values family and respect above all.
This wine created by the brand 1865 of Viña San Pedro is 100% Pinot Noir and is recognized for being a great exponent of its variety from its D.O Malleco Valley.
Tasting Notes: Herbaceous and spicy, this Pinot Noir comes from Malleco Valley, one of the southern-most regions in Chile. It has a nose of mint and chalk that introduces a lively palate of black tea, clove and white pepper with subtle berry flavors.
Pairing: Chilean steak
