Description

Overview: The Paso Robles appellation suits Malbec exceptionally well. We were so impressed by this wine from our estate vineyard in Paso Robles, that we bottled it without any blending. After aging in French and American barrels for 24 months, our wine reveals ripe flavors of black plum and currant with accents of vanilla and dark chocolate.

Opaque Malbec comes only from the best lots that our estate vineyards have to offer. Small lots are picked and fermented individually with minimal intervention to allow the true expression of the soil and climate. The wines are matured in a unique selection of hand-crafted French and American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Suave aromas of black cherry, creamy caramel, vanilla and dark red flowers converge on the nose of this bottling. Thick yet elegant tannins frame the sip, where Morello cherry, baked boysenberry and baking spice flavors make for a satisfyingly rich expression.

Pairing: Try our exquisite Malbec with chimichurri steak, roasted potatoes, or gorganzola cheese.
