Acinum - Amarone della Valpolicella
Description
Overview: To make this bold and exquisite wine, winemakers use the method of Appassimento. Harvesting fresh fruits and drying it for 3 months until the fruit shrivels, giving the wine its signature color and flavor. Dark ruby/purple color with a long lasting nose with silky, sexy texture. Made in the Veneto region of north-eastern Italy, the wine is aged for 2 years in oak creating a more aromatic and flavorful wine. Amarone della Valpolicella is arguably the region’s most prestigious red wine.
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red colour with pomegranate reflections, ethereal nose which reminds of peach blossoms, violet, raspberry and mint. On the palate it is intense, refined; it displays full body and smoothness, with clear notes of dried grapes.
Pairing: Ideal with spicy dishes, game and seasoned cheeses. Excellent with Parmigiano cheese.
