A limited release of High West Rendezvous Rye finished in French oak port barrels. A blend of straight rye whiskeys, aged in new, charred, white American oak and finished in port and French oak barrels. Mashbills: 95% rye, 5% barley malt from MGP, 80% rye, 20% malted rye from HWD. We recommend that you enjoy this special spirit neat, due to its many layers of complexity, next to a warm fire as the snow piles up on the window sill. It also pairs beautifully with fig cookies!
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Brandied cherries, fig jam, sun-dried raisins, dried orange peel, baking spice, French oak toast.
- Palate: Quince paste, strawberry rhubarb crumble, vanilla caramel, molasses, toffee, leather.
- Finish: Mulling spices, candied dates, black pepper, hint of spearmint.
