Crossbarn - Cabernet Sauvignon - Sonoma County
Description
Overview: Produced using hand-harvested fruit from carefully selected vineyards within Sonoma County, Crossbarn Cabernet Sauvignon offers a lively and authentic expression of the region.
Hand-harvested at night, the Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon sees a 5-day cold soak and a 25-day maceration, and ferments with native & select yeasts. Barrel aged for 18 months with 10-15% new oak, it is bottled unfined with minimal SO2 additions.
Tasting Notes: An inaugural release for the producer, this wine holds a treasure trove of dense chocolate, raspberry, toasted oak and graham cracker. It's concentrated, big-bodied and juicy. The finish is marked by clove and cedar, with a slight touch of anise.
Pairing: Tandoori lamb chops
Points: 93, James Suckling
Format/ABV: 750 ml/14.5%
