Portalupi - Arneis - Mendocino County
Description
Overview: In 2002, Jane Portalupi and Tim Borges started Portalupi Wine with a vision to create a unique portfolio of wines and capture a lifestyle that is worthy of their Italian heritage. Family-owned and operated, Portalupi isn’t just a brand, it is our name.
Our grapes are from the Potter Valley region of Mendocino County. The Graziano family celebrated 100 years and is one of the oldest grape growing families in Mendocino County. The subsoil of Potter Valley is made of Franciscan bedrock. This layer is covered by alluvial silts and clays with more gravel and sandstone.
Tasting Notes: A light bodied, delicate white wine with flavors of green melon, lime, pears and raw manuka honey with almond. Subtle fruit and crisp with bright acidity. Very true Italian style from the Roero area of Piemonte.
Pairing: Brilliantly balanced and wanting for scallops, calamari, halibut and lobster ravioli.
