An enjoyably spicy rye from the Black Maple Hill range, produced in Oregon. An interesting expression, with oodles of freshly ground spice notes sat atop waves of caramel and maple syrup.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Shortbread, milk chocolate and peppercorn.
Palate: Treacle, maple syrup and tangy spices - think paprika and red chilli powder.
Finish: Brown sugar, cumin and a hint of pecan.
