Cassanova di Neri - IR Rosso - Toscana
Description
Overview: Irrosso (or IrRosso) is Casanova di Neri’s most recent creation. It is made primarily from relatively young Brunello (Sangiovese) grapes, but does not qualify for the Brunello or Rosso di Montalcino denomination because it also contains some Colorino grapes, traditional of Chianti, and the Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. This wine is the most approachable of Neri’s wines at an early stage of development, but can still age well.
Tasting Notes: Irrosso di Casanova di Neri stands out once again for its unmistakable pleasantness and its prettiness and great drinkability. At the sight it is purplish ruby red, intense and bright. On the nose there are spicy notes and intense small red fruits. On the palate its excellent tannic structure, enveloping and highly drinkable, is in harmony with its beautiful softness.
Pairing: Beef and venison
Points: 92, James Suckling
Format / ABV: 750 ml/14.0%
