Overview: In 1861, Charles Krug, the visionary father of Napa Valley winemaking, established the winery that started it all. The Mondavi Family purchased this already iconic estate in 1943, and for over 75 years and four generations they have been passionately perfecting an enduring legacy for those generations still to come.
Sourced principally from our five family estates in Yountville, our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon displays black fruit aromas with hints of brown sugar and toffee. This medium bodied wine showcases a rich mélange of cherry, blackberry and black currant flavors set against a beautifully integrated backdrop of lightly toasted oak, all leading to a smooth lingering finish.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of spiced cocoa are followed by flavors of cherry, chocolate and dark plum for a richly flavored while mouthwatering wine. This Cabernet Sauvignon includes a generous splash of Petit Verdot for additional depth and structure. It showcases persistent and fine-grained tannins and a lengthy finish.
