Crossbarn - Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley
Description
Overview: Produced from hand-harvested fruit drawn from carefully curated vineyards within the Napa Valley appellation, Crossbarn Cabernet Sauvignon offers structure and weight in balance with pure, concentrated fruit.
Hand-harvested at night, the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sees a 5-day cold soak and a 24-day maceration, and ferments with native & select yeasts. Barrel aged for 18 months with 10-15% new oak, it is bottled unfined.
Tasting Notes: A juicy and flavorful red with real Napa character from vineyards in Calistoga and Coombsville. Medium-bodied with juicy fruit and a flavorful finish. Currant and hints of mint. But reserved and focused. Shows tension.
Pairing: Dutch gouda
Points: 94, James Suckling
Format/ABV: 750 ml/14.5%
