Domaine Labranche Laffont - Christine Dupuy - Madiran
Description
Overview: Christine Dupuy took over the family estate in Maumusson-Laguian, in the Gers, in 1993. She was the first woman winegrower in Madiran and patiently led this 21-hectare estate to the qualitative heights of the appellation. Concerned about our health and our land, concerned about its customers and its environment, the methods of organic farming have imposed themselves quite naturally. His viticulture can thus be summed up in good peasant common sense, respect, a lot of presence and patience. Sowing cereals, legumes according to the needs of each plot, play the role of natural fertilizers, thus improving the structure of the soil, encouraging the reintroduction of auxiliaries and thus making it possible to recreate biodiversity
Tasting Notes: Floral notes with red berries and black berries. Generous earthiness and subtle smokiness from the oak. A rich and full-bodied red wine. Beautiful volume with ripe tannins, black fruits, earthiness and spice with a charming texture. Savoury powerful finish.
Pairing: Meatballs, confit duck with potatoes, cassoulet, slow cooked game, chili con carne, grilled red meat.
