Overview: Dr. Hermann, the Riesling estate in Mosel Valley, Germany, is helmed by Christian Hermann. Christian’s philosophy is that quality starts in the vineyard with restrained pruning, hand harvesting, and natural, meticulous cultivation of vineyard soil. The result is beautiful, elegant wines from some of the most famous vineyard sites in the world. Hermann specializes in Riesling grown on the steep, rocky slopes of the famous vineyards of Erdener Prälat, Erdener Treppchen, and Ürziger Würzgarten. All of the fruit for Dr. Hermann Riesling grows on un-grafted, old vines, which deliver beautiful and complex wines.
