Eden Mill St. Andrews Golf Gin (700 ml)
Description
Eden Mill was established in 2012 on the banks of the Eden Estuary in St Andrews and
became the first distillery to make spirits in the area in over 150 years. With a portfolio of
award-winning premium gins, we take pride in sourcing our botanicals locally where we can and select ones that showcase the flavors and natural ingredients of our corner of Scotland.
Our brand-new distillery is currently under construction and is due to open its doors in
2024. Located on the University of St Andrews Eden Campus, we are putting sustainability first and working closely with the University to seek solutions to carbon neutrality. Once open, the distillery will deliver a stunning visitor experience and become one of Scotland’s top tourist attractions.
This botanically rich spirit has a slightly saline base which is made using kombu seaweed
sourced in Fife. It also incorporates other ingredients inspired by the those that can be
found around coastal golf courses in Scotland, such as heather and lavender.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Hints of juniper in a forest of lavender and spruce trees with a subtle underlying salty tang
- Taste: The juniper dominates as it should but is balanced out with a sweetness from the gorse. The heather and lavender add a floral note while the spruce and coriander provide a distinct peppery finish.
- Finish: Crisp and fresh
Best served with a premium tonic, garnished with a bramble and a sprig of mint.
