The most coveted early versions of Rendezvous Rye combined 6-year-old straight rye whiskey from MGP in Indiana, made from 95% rye and 5% malted barley, with exceptionally mature 16-year-old Barton rye from Kentucky, produced from an 80% rye, 10% corn, and 10% malted barley mash bill. Bottled at 92 Proof (46% ABV), the result showcases the vibrant mint, herbal spice, and pepper of high-rye whiskey alongside the deeper oak, cocoa, caramel, and mature complexity contributed by significantly older rye.
