Palate: The palate follows the nose with the rickhouse oak and sweet peanut butter leading the way, followed by pipe tobacco and beautiful Luxardo cherry syrup sweetness to balance things out, with a sweet heat befitting the proof plus more oak on the finish.

The age and proof shine through in a powerful way without being brash, there's a distinct sweetness throughout the pour that is atypical of the traditional Jim Beam peanut note, and the finish ramps up in a big way without being aggressive. This is well aged Kentucky bourbon done beautifully, and really highlights what makes single barrels so special.
