Kosta Browne - Anderson Valley - Pinot Noir
Description
Overview: Our Appellation Series wines exemplify our commitment to exploration and passion for crafting soulful and thoughtprovoking wines that celebrate some of the world's great terroirs.
Sixty-five miles north of our winery in Sebastopol, CA, is the critically acclaimed AVA of Anderson Valley. This rural, unparalleled location has had a history of producing world-class wines, and this year it celebrates 40 years as a declared AVA.
We sourced from a variety of vineyards within the appellation, including Cerise Vineyard from our Estate series, to create a true representation of an Anderson Valley Pinot Noir blend. To capture this region's rustic beauty and retain freshness, the wine was fermented predominantly in stainless steel, as well as concrete and wood tanks. Intense aromas of juicy blackberries, dark cherry, and charred lemon are enhanced by an expansively layered, concentrated palate. Subtle oak and savory notes weave throughout for a captivating texture that draws the Pinot to a long, powerful finish.
Tasting Notes: Wild blackberry with hints of herbaceous rusticity and subtle oak. A powerful punch of dark cherry, blueberry, violet, and cranberry fruit notes with a rich and gorgeous texture.
Pairing: Seared salmon and tuna
