Mijenta Maestra Selection No.1 Blanco Tequila (750 ml)
Description
Mijenta's first Maestra Selction is a small batch, limited edition that showcases the magic of the agave and artistry of tequila. This expression highlights Mijenta's commitment to a type of innovation in tequila that remains true to the terroir and the heritage of the spirit. Crafted from single estate agaves averaging approximately 8 years old, the high natural sugar content has resulted in an exceptionally rich tequila. HOwever, what makes this batch unique is that every plant harvested to produce it were agaves de semilla - agaves grown from seed - which is an industry first. At 50% ABV, powerful flavors and aromas of cooked agave, tropical fruits such as roasted pineapple and melon, chocolate, caramel, dulce de leche, and spices including cinnamon and cardamom, are complemented by notes of gardenia and a minerality that reflects the terroir of the highlands.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: Bright, luminous, with silver hues, and full-bodied
- Nose: The first impression is intense cooked agave, caramel, chocolate, and dulce de leche obtained from its slow cooking. Flashes of tropical fruits such as roasted pineapple and melon, floral nuances like gardenias, subtle herbal notes, and spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, with a mineral touch. It is balanced, as its aromas obtained from its carefull process are perceived, and the alcoholic note is low.
- Palate: It confirms all its olfactory promise, leaving the mouth with intense, fruity, spicy, floral tones, and cooked agave. It is sweet and silky. With great persistence.
