Overview: Mizu Saga Barley Shochu is a handcrafted Japanese spirit made in the traditional honkaku shochu style. Single distilled from locally grown two-row barley and black koji rice, it uses pure water from Kurokami Mountain in Saga Prefecture to create a spirit that is both distinctive and beautifully balanced.
Tasting Notes: Delicate floral aromas lead into flavors of fresh grains, banana bread, ripe melon, and vanilla custard, with a smooth, buttery texture and subtle earthy character. Its higher proof gives the finish added depth and warmth.
Pairing: Enjoy neat or over a large cube of ice. It also makes a refreshing highball with soda water and cucumber, or pairs beautifully with grapefruit juice or iced green tea.
