  • Crystal clear and brilliant.
    It begins with a burst of juniper fragrance. Then the sunny Mediterranean essence of the tomato stands out, followed by notes of rosemary, mint, basil, and then citrusy and balsamic notes.
    It is smooth tasting, and the sharp juniper berry note is followed by the enticing note of the original botanical features of the tomato. A ripe tomato that finally invigorates the palate with its fragrant, refreshing and citrusy notes.

Moletto Gin is produced using the alcohol from selected mixed grains, and two spirits made from botanical varieties of juniper berries (Juniperus communis L.): from Mediterranean maquis – known as the best – and from the Alps. But the gin’s originality comes from a botanical feature that distinguishes and characterizes it: the tomato (fruit) (Solanum lycopersicum L.). Its ingredients also include an exceptionally pure natural element, spring water from the Dolomites, light and well-balanced, which is used to reduce the alcoholic strength. The traditional and artisanal distillation takes place in old copper stills.

    One of my favorite specialty gins

    if you are looking for standard gin, keep going. This is one of those rare OMG if you do it right gins. I part Moletto Gin, 2 T olive juice, 1-3 olives your choice on fav's, Mediterranean tonic. Voila - magic!

    Description: An Italian gin that incorporate tomatoes as a botanical .

    Nose: it has sent reminiscent to V8 juice

    Palate: tomato comes on real strong there is a slight juniper after taste. Over all it is very savory much like Gin Amare.

    Uses: I think this will make a good use it in savory cocktail. In addition is blends with OJ well.

    Final Thought: the tomato aspect first caught my curiosity, but in the end it winds up limiting this gin quite a bit.
