The 2025 release combines an 11-year high-rye bourbon with a 5-year high-wheat bourbon, creating a complex four-grain whiskey before finishing in barrels previously used to mature Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder.
Finished and bottled at cask strength in Bardstown, Kentucky, this powerful 117.8-proof bourbon combines classic vanilla and oak with dark fruit, roasted peach, cedar, spice, and the structure imparted by Cabernet-soaked barrels.

What separates Mt. Brave from a traditional finished bourbon is the connection to one of Napa Valley's most distinctive mountain wine regions.
After its initial maturation, the bourbon is finished in barrels that previously held Mt. Brave Cabernet Sauvignon, produced from the winery's high-elevation vineyards on Mount Veeder.
The Cabernet barrels introduce additional dark fruit, wine tannin, cedar, and spice, complementing the bourbon's natural caramel, vanilla, and toasted-oak character.

The 2025 release combines two distinctly different bourbon styles.
