Originally built into a nationally recognized whiskey by Ferdinand Westheimer in the late 1800s, Red Top Rye disappeared around Prohibition before being famously resurrected in the 1990s by Julian Van Winkle III as an exceptionally rare 15-year single-barrel rye.
