Paul Hobbs - Russian River Valley - Chardonnay
Description
Overview: “The true character of a site is only revealed through the work and determination of tending each vineyard with meticulous care and vinifying with minimalist winemaking techniques that fully express the terroir.” A collection of acclaimed estate and growers’ vineyards with pedigrees that allow them to stand on their own. Planted to high density vines and farmed by the block and row using sustainable practices to ensure impeccable fruit at harvest.
Tasting Notes: A vibrant blend derived from our revered vineyards that are defined by the region’s cooling fog and warm afternoon sunshine reveals a pale straw color in the glass and aromas of white florals, ground ginger, and Mandarin orange. Golden Delicious apple and Meyer lemon give way to complex flavors of baking spice and piecrust that add a round texture to accompany its bright acidity, framing the long finish.
Pairing: Caeser Salad, Curry
Points: 94 pts, Jeb Dunnock and KE, 93 Robert Parker and James Suckling
Format / ABV: 750 ml / 14.1
