R6 distills their Southern California Bourbon Whiskey from a mixture of yellow corn, rye, and malted barley. They then searched long and hard to find the perfect mate for it with a Straight Northern California Bourbon. Through the differences in climate between the two geographies, the R6 Bourbon captures a unique terroir and possesses the results driven by a delicate balance of hot and cool climates.
It is in these climates whereby the New American Charred White Oak breathes, allowing the whiskey to soak into the wood, then come back out. This whiskey is aged for a minimum of two years in New American Charred White Oak (Char #3). It's an American classic mash of yellow corn, rye, and malted barley.
