100 years of experience in a bottle…In 1923, the founders of our company, the Jelín brothers, were inspired by famous cognac producers and for the first time ever let plum brandy mature in oak barrels. We have been purposefully aging plum brandy and other fruit brandies in Vizovice for more than a hundred years.
More than twenty years ago, we began to fulfill another vision of Rudolf Jelínek, which he himself did not realize due to World War II. We began planting plum orchards in Vizovice, in the local district of Těchlov. Today we are the largest plum grower in the Czech Republic. Thanks to the experience of our predecessors and the possibilities of our own orchards, we create unique distillates that have no equal.
Family Reserve 15yo is a unique distillate made from Vizovice plums aged in barrels for 15 years , which has significantly influenced its taste. It has a plum aroma with distinct tones of wood , caramel and chocolate , the taste is delicately plum to jam , with hints of cinnamon and coffee . It leaves a long and warm, slightly astringent aftertaste.
