Schneider - Sankt Laurent (750 ml)
Description
Overview: One of Central Europe’s more obscured red variertals – most prevalent in Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Sankt Laurent produces perfumy wines, laced with berries & baking spices just like Pinot Noir, but w/ additional, deeper, notes of tobacco & chocolate. The varietal, usually coming from Austria’s warmer climate, can also produce a slightly weightier, richer palate, while still maintaining good levels of acidity – St Laurent also responds well to oak handling, and 8 months in large barrels manage to impart a pleasantly plush character. .
Tasting Notes: Cherry, blackberry, chocolate, casis
Pairing: With its deeper, heftier character, feel free to match it up with roasts of turkey, duck, and pork, or perhaps contrast its sweetness of fruit against cured meats such as Bratwurst & Blood Sausage

Format / ABV: 750 ml / 13.5
