Teeda 21 Year Japanese Craft Rum (750 ml)
Description
From the Helios distillery in Okinawa, known for its delicious whiskies, comes a Japanese rum—Teeda. Okinawa is the southernmost and most tropical island in the Japanese chain. The origins of the sugar cane can be traced back to Indonesia, China and India and was brought to Okinawa over 400 years ago. Okinawa's unique subtropical climate has made this sugar cane very distinctive and exceptional. The rums are made Agricole style and distilled in copper pots. They are very unique tasting rums.
This special rum is a blend of pot still rums, aged in bourbon barrels and bottled at 21 years old. There is no caramel added. Teeda is the Okinawan word for sun.
Tasting Notes: This 21 year old specialty reflects an oak char with treacly molasses notes. It finishes with hints of spicy cinnamon, old oak and Maple syrup with fresh pancakes and apricot. A rare find!
