The release was created from two precious ex-bourbon casks—one distilled in 1997 and the other in 1999. After decades of maturation in Trinidad's demanding tropical climate, The Last Drop determined that the two casks complemented one another beautifully and carefully married them together. The resulting rum combines the powerful, oily and intensely characterful personality for which Caroni became famous with vibrant tropical fruit and surprisingly elegant floral notes.
