Very Old Barton 100 Proof (750 mL)

Description

Nose: Powerful, with a noticeable nose tickle. Melon punch, green banana, and tart cherry notes mingle with sticky caramel apple. It's really cool.

Palate: Light and airy. Red apple skins, tannic oak, tart yet dry oaky sugars, toasty corn, and cherry syrup follow a strong tongue burn (no longer tart). Dry, but well-balanced.

Medium length finish. Warming, slightly sweet but muddled, with a muddy palette of flavors. Until fading, a slight bitterness (bitter herbs) emerges, and the finish becomes more dry.
