Wade - Three By Wade - Cabernet Sauvignon
Description
Overview: Former NBA all-star, MVP, World Champion Dwyane Wade is nothing if not driven. Through his successes in his athletic career, and with the help of fellow teammates and foodies Chris Bosh and Lebron James, he discovered a passion and love for fine wines. Thanks to the friendships he cultivated over the years, he turned to a specifically dear one with esteemed Napa winemaker Jayson Pahlmeyer. Pahlmeyer, with thirty years of winemaking under his belt, offered endless guidance to Wade and even went as far as to have him witness the 2014 Napa Valley harvest. Through the knowledge, Wade accessed through this harvest, the assistance of Pahlmeyer, and Wade's impressive drive, Wade Cellars was born.
Three by Wade Cabernet Sauvignon was birthed out of the desire to create a wine worthy of a big occasion or a simple Tuesday night. This led us to source from both the Napa Valley, as well as several new sites in Paso Robles and Mendocino County. The winemaking approach embraces a modern take on traditional techniques and showcases a style that’s purely Californian. We are continually inspired by wines that have an impact of flavor without being overdone. There are equal parts weight, texture, and depth — all of which you’ll find in the great Cabernets of the world. Each of these qualities embodies the foundation of our winemaking inspiration and the desire to create a bottle that’s considered an everyday a ordable luxury.
Tasting Notes: On the nose, this Cabernet offers aromatics of black plums, graphite, fresh blackberries, and is layered with cloves and dried rose petals. The tannins are fine and marry well with the acidity, which gives this classically-styled Cabernet true balance and structure.
Pairing: This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs best with any red meat, including prime rib, New York strip and filet mignon. The wine is best enjoyed with food and can also be used for sauces or reductions.
