Created by Master Blender Miles Munroe, Edition No. 4 is drawn from Westward's extraordinary 21-barrel Solera, a living collection containing some of the distillery's oldest and most precious whiskey stocks.
For this fourth edition, the majority of the whiskey received secondary maturation in Hungarian oak and large French-oak Armagnac casks, bringing a darker, richer dimension to Westward's signature malt character.

🥃 The 21-Barrel Milestone Solera
Milestone is unlike a conventional annual whiskey release.
At its heart is Westward's 21-barrel Solera, containing some of the distillery's most treasured mature whiskey.
Each year, Miles Munroe draws whiskey from this collection to create a new Milestone edition. Exceptional new casks are then introduced into the Solera while portions of the older whiskey remain.
The result is a continuously evolving whiskey.
Edition No. 4 captures that Solera at one particular moment in 2026. Once the whiskey was drawn and new casks entered the system, that exact composition could never be recreated.
🥃 Hungarian Oak & Armagnac Casks
Edition No. 4 explores a darker side of Westward through secondary maturation in Hungarian oak and large Armagnac casks made from French oak.
Hungarian oak provides a fascinating combination of spice, sweetness, structure, and mature wood character, while the Armagnac casks introduce deeper layers of dried fruit, earthiness, leather, nuts, and spice.
