BARREL DETAILS:

Aged at least 10 years, Warehouse 2, Rick G, Level 4, 106.6 Proof, 53.3% ABV

TASTING NOTES:

  • Nose:  The nose begins with floral honey and sweet mossy oak, just a fresh and welcoming intro. It quickly moves into grapefruit and pineapple - lush and juicy.
  • Palate:  The palate is pudding-like in texture, welcoming fresh cherries, mixed tropical fruit cocktail, and a dollop of herbal coated oak - contrary to other creamier, richer, more sugar browning-like notes often found in other ryes like the 90396.
  • Finish:  Don’t let that fool you, it still brings plenty of mint and citrus to hold its own in a long, sweet but spicy finish with an even longer reminder of that 10+ years in the oak.

    Bourbon is rich a tad on the veggie leather side of savory over sweet n spice for this particular barrel of 10 year rye, still powerful expressive, lots of depth and complexities.

    Selection, pricing packaging, communication and service by keg and bottle was all excellent. Thank you.
